Riverside Medical Clinic's
Cardiology department provides
state-of-the-art cardiology and cardiac testing services for our
patients, Riverside County and the surrounding areas. Our
cardiologists, Dr. Samuel Kumar and Dr. Joseph Quan, are dedicated
and experienced, and treat patients with all cardiology problems and
diseases. Both Dr. Kumar and Dr. Quan have been at Riverside Medical
Clinic caring for patients for over twelve years.
Cardiac testing may not always be required when you first come in to
see your cardiologist.
In fact, your primary care physician may
refer you to the Cardiology department to obtain a cardiologist's
diagnosis. The cardiologist will review all testing performed by
your primary care physician before having you repeat any test. A
cardiologist may simply place a patient on a diet. There are other
procedures performed to obtain an accurate diagnosis, some of these
are done the same day in the office. For others, you are sent home
with special equipment for a period of time.
Our Cardiac Testing department is staffed with cardiac technicians
highly trained in performing any required test your cardiologist has
requested. Our cardiac technicians will provide you with
instructions you will need to know to perform your test and to
ensure your well-being. Your may be requested to come in early so
that preparation can be made for the testing. With most testing you
perform your heart rate and blood pressure will be monitored and
documented. The Cardiac Testing department also has pamphlets
explaining each procedure. You can pick up a pamphlet before your
scheduled procedure in the Cardiac Testing department.

During your visit with the cardiologist, you can also visit our
medical library, located on the lower level in our Main Clinic. Our
library is filled with informative pamphlets, medical books,
magazines, journals and videos that patients can review. If you are
unable to visit the library, the cardiologists also have pamphlets
available in their office and can provide you with informative
information pertaining to your illness.
