Festival of Lights

The 27th Annual Festival of Lights features Attraction rides – Trackless Train, the Century Wheel, Colorful Carousel and additional returning Favorites – Magical Moments with Santa Claus, Horse-Drawn Carriages, Seasonal Music & Entertainment, the Artisans Collective and tasty food vendors.

Amy C. Smith & Rock Up the Hill

Southern California’s signature event The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa Riverside Festival of Lights welcomes guests to experience holiday lights and decorations, live entertainment and lots of goodies in Downtown Riverside. The Riverside Festival of Lights is a time-honored tradition for generations of Southern California residents. Attractions at the Riverside Festival of Lights include the Artisans Collective, lighted displays, rides, entertainment, food vendors, UCR Snow Globe, Santa Claus and much more. Add a little excitement to your visit to the Riverside Festival of Lights with live music and dance at the Entertainment Stage near City Hall. Come join the celebration at the Riverside Festival of Lights.

First Fridays Movies in the Park

Join us this fall for our First Fridays Movies in the Park Series. Enjoy a FREE G/PG rated family movie inside the comfort of one of our wonderful community centers. Seating will be inside the community center – bring a blanket or chair for your comfort.

Winter Wonderland

Spend the day in a winter wonderland at Arlington Heights Sports Park. With over 60 tons of snow on the ground, craft vendors, free activities, photos with Santa, face painting, live entertainment, snow sledding, bounce houses and food vendors, there’s something to keep the family entertained for hours!

Riverside Reindeer Run

Dash into a healthy holiday season at the Riverside Reindeer Run on Sun., Dec. 8 in Fairmount Park. The scenic Half Marathon, 5K and Kids Run courses will be sprinkled with a flurry of holiday cheer including carolers at the finish line, Santa Claus appearance and the “Santa Lane” — a section of the course filled with holiday music, decorations and entertainment.

Each participant will receive a tech t-shirt, high-quality finisher’s medal, free race photos, a Santa hat or reindeer antlers, food truck brunch and a Lagunitas beer (21+). The lively event hub and post-race party will feature a multitude of health and fitness demos and deals and Kids Zone with games, coloring and more — perfect for the whole family.

Breakfast With Santa

The Breakfast with Santa event, in collaboration with the Reid Park Advisory Board, features breakfast (pancakes, sausage, eggs and beverages), picture with Santa, arts and crafts and performances/entertainment

Christmas Tree Lighting

Come enjoy our community tree lighting with snow sledding, bounce houses, snacks, and activities. The event will go from 4pm to 6pm and the tree will light at 5pm.

Christmas Cookies and Tea Social

Bake your favorite holiday cookie recipe to share and we’ll provide tea and coffee.

Monday, December 23, 2019

Chanukah Festival

You’re invited to the 15th Annual Chanukah Festival located in front of the Riverside Historic Courthouse. The event will feature a Grand Menorah Lighting, Traditional Food, Live Music and Fun Activities for the Whole Family.
