RMC Congratulates Judy Carpenter, 2017 Citizen of the Year
Riverside Medical Clinic is proud to announce that President and Chief Operating Officer
Judy Carpenter has been named the 2017 Citizen of the Year by the Greater Riverside
Chambers of Commerce. We join with the Chamber and hundreds of community leaders
to honor her many achievements at the 118 th Inaugural Celebration on March 22 at the
Riverside Convention Center.
Judy also serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Greater
Riverside Chambers of Commerce, having previous served as their Chair. Judy is a
member of the “Monday Morning Group” and the Raincross Group. She currently serves
on the boards of the Janet Goeske Senior Center and Foundation, Riverside University
Health Foundation, Parkview Community Hospital Foundation, Riverside Community
Health Foundation and Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation, as well as a
member of the Board of Directors for Provident Bank.
Judy dedicates her time to helping worthy health care charities, includes chairing
numerous campaigns to benefit the American Diabetes Association, the American
Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,
and the Arthritis Foundation.
A graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, Judy’s legacy of service to the community spans many
years. In 2004, Inland Empire magazine readers’ poll named Judy among the “Women
Who Make a Difference.” In 2006, she was a graduate of Leadership Riverside. Then in
2007, she was honored with the following awards: Riverside County YWCA’s Women of
Achievement, the Athena of the Inland Valleys Award, and the Corporate Spirit of the
Entrepreneur. Riverside Community College District honored Judy in 2013 for her
distinguished public service, and in 2016, Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation
presented Judy with the HERO award for Community Leader of the Year. Just this past
year, Judy was presented with the Frank Miller Achievement Award by the Mission Inn
Foundation.
Judy began her storied health care career at Riverside Medical Clinic in 1988. RMC is
the largest physician-owned, multi-specialty medical group in the Inland Empire. It has
been providing medical services for over 83 years and originally had offices in the
rotunda of the Mission Inn. Today, RMC has 7 clinics with 170 physicians, 750
employees and an outpatient surgery center. A new clinic is scheduled to open in
