Commonly referred to as OB/GYN, the doctors of obstetrics and gynecology at Riverside Medical Clinic are physicians who specialize in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system. The specialty covers a wide variety of health care issues, seeing women from childbearing age through menopause and beyond. There are two main aspects:
Obstetrics deals with the pregnant woman and her unborn baby, ensuring mother and child both receive the best prenatal care. They also ensure labor and delivery goes as planned, with training to handle any complications. Obstetricians then provide post-natal care for the baby and mother following childbirth. Riverside Medical Clinic will help you prepare for pregnancy and childbirth with educational pamphlets and videos that help to address all of the changes you’re going through.
Gynecology deals with the health of the reproductive organs including the uterus, fallopian tubes, cervix, ovaries and vagina. Your gynecologist may also treat problems in the bladder, bowel and urinary tract since they are closely related. They care for women of all ages, provide physicals and immunizations, family planning options, STD screenings, Pap tests, breast exams and more.
If your physician asks for a mammogram or ultrasound, it’s as easy as walking across the lobby. Mammograms will be requested for patients based on their age and medical history. At Riverside Medical Clinic we offer the only Siemens 3D mammogram. We provide every service in our state-of-the-art department, from breast cancer screening to monitoring the early development of your baby.
Patients are not required to have a referral to see an OB/GYN.
The gynecologists and obstetricians at Riverside Medical Clinic are dedicated to providing the best care in the Inland Empire. They have experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions, from routine medical screenings to the complex.
